Installation steps
1. Make sure the scooter is switched off.
2. Unscrew the screws on the handlebars and pull the handlebars out of the steering column.
3. Pull the display connector apart.
4. Connect the corresponding connectors of the tuning box to the pulled-out connectors of the display. When connecting the connectors, pay attention to the arrows on the connectors, plug them in exactly opposite each other!
5. Carefully slide the tuning box into the steering column.
6. Plug the handlebars back into the steering column and screw the fixing screws back in.
7. Switch on the scooter.
8. Press the brake 3x, then the throttle 3x: the number 38 should flash on the display.
9. It is important not to do anything until the number 0 appears on the scooter display again (approx. 30 seconds, during which the tuning box flashes the controller).
10. At this point, turn off the scooter and turn it back on and the speed of the scooter with the wheel raised (depending on the battery charge) can reach a top speed of 38 km/h (it will be less when loaded, but this depends on many things, such as: weight, battery charge, weather, terrain conditions, tire pressure, etc.)
Additional functions are available after connecting to the tuning box's WIFI.
WIFI connection steps
1. Find the tuning box's WIFI name on your phone: Luck4U+**** (the *s represent the box's serial number).
2. The default WIFI password is 88888888 (8 digits 8)
3. Since the tuning box cannot provide an internet signal by default, wait until the phone recognizes this and accepts the no network WIFI connection message.
4. Open this URL in the browser of your mobile phone: 192.168.5.2.
(In case of replacing the controller or installing it in another scooter, the WIFI password will be reset to 8 digits 8.)
Additional functions
The speed control tuning box has 2 speed states:
1. Low speed state - the maximum speed is 20 km/h. The factory default setting is "low speed state"
2. High speed state - the maximum speed is 38 km/h.
There are also several setting options via WIFI:
1. The number of brake lever and throttle lever presses required to change the speed state on the scooter can be individually set (N value: possible between 3-15, default is set to 3).
2. "Display maximum speed 20 km/h" can be set, then the display will show a maximum speed of 20 km/h regardless of the top speed!
3. The scooter can be locked and tilted via WIFI (we do not recommend using this function).
4. Cruise control can be turned on and off.
5. The functions of the taillight can be set.
6. The WIFI password can be changed (maximum length is 8 characters: it can be a combination of numbers and letters).
Changing the speed state
You can change the speed state directly on the scooter, or you can also use the phone:
1. In the power-on state, press the brake pedal N times, then press the accelerator pedal N times to change the speed state. The default value of N is 3. Users can set the value of N on the WIFI page. The setting range is from 3 to 15.
2. After the user connects to the WIFI of the speed controller with their mobile phone, open the WIFI settings page and change the speed state.
After changing the speed state, unless the user changes the state himself, this state will remain valid for a long time, even after restarting. After installing the speed controller, every time the user changes speed status, they need to wait 30 seconds for the entire switching process.
Speed changing process in practice
1. First, press the brake pedal N times, then press the accelerator pedal N times. The BLE display will alarm once and start the gear state switching. When the user switches to the high speed state, the BLE display will display the number 38. When switching to the low speed state, the display will display the number 20. After the state switching is successful, the BLE display will alarm once.
